Oy! What a comfy mess

So, today's assignment, should I choose to accept it, was to give you the scoop on my writing space.

Sure I could have spruced up my writing space to make everyone believe that most writers have a tidy, comfy, organized area to create our fun stories but that's not me.

This picture pretty much depicts what it's like for me. Messy comfort with everything within grabbing reach.

This is our sofa, in our family room and that spot, with the recliner is the spot that I've sat in for the past 8 years. It's "My" spot that has been molded to my body and allows me visual of the kitchen, the flat screen 52" TV, my husband and my little side table where in the summer, might sit a rather large glass of Rum and Diet cola with Lime or perhaps, a bottle of wine.

As you can see, I now have all of the remote controls near me (which wasn't the case over a year ago, and usually, on the other end of that sofa is just more clutter that I call my working space.

Typically, I don't share that sofa because there is no place else for anyone to sit (yes-the clutter takes over the end and this happens to be a full length sofa) and my family has to wait until I shove stuff into a pile if they want to sit next to me.

Fortunately, no one ever wants to sit next to me because they're afraid I might ask them for computer help.

If I'm not here writing or typing out notes, I'm in bed, propted against my headboard, with my computer on my lap.
