Favorite Book Boyfriend

Oh Fun question this week for the Romance Writers Weekly Hop.

The question is "Tell your three favorite book boyfriends and why. (From any book you’ve read)

When three book boyfriends come immediately to mind before you're done reading the question, then you know that they must be your favorites and here they are:

1. THE HEART OF DEVIN MACKADE by Nora Roberts from The Mackade Brothers series. I like Devin MacKade because of how he treats Cassie Dolin in their story. Cassie, who was coming out of an abusive marriage and was fragile because of it, and Devin was gentle and caring toward her. I really like this quality while also showing us a bit of the alpha male in him. Besides, the original book cover reminded me a bit of my husband. This was my favorite book out of this series.

2. ALIAS by Amy Fetzer The Athena Force Adventure series. Jack Turner, Bounty Hunter, in Alias didn't have a huge presence in this book but when he was in a scene, he dominated it. The thing I liked about Jack was that he was the guy in the back ground letting single mother, Darcy Steele do her vigilante thing going around town saving other women. Darcy never knew that Jack was on to what she was doing until one night when Darcy ran into some trouble that she couldn't fight her way out of and here comes Jack to her rescue. After he saves Darcy, we see a strong Alpha Male character come out but yet he's willing to let Darcy still have the life that she's set for herself.

3. OVER THE EDGE by Suzanne Brockmann from The Troubleshooters series. I'll admit that I'm a gushing fool over this author's characters but out of all the awesome possible boyfriends in this series, Senior Chief Stan Wolochonok rises to the top. What I like about Stan is that he's not a pretty boy, but he has a heart of pure gold and righteousness. He is the man in charge when all crap is hitting the fan and he take firm control of what needs to be done. While in the midst of a volatile situation, he takes time to teach Teri Howe some coping skills in confrontation. His level of respect directed at her is sexy. He's a loveable man.

Well that's it for my top three favorite book boyfriends. I know there are more but that would take a long time. There are some honorable mentions, of course from Merline Lovelace, , Catherine Mann, Robyn Carr, and J.R. Ward.

Thanks for stopping by. Please hop on over to my pal Carrie Elks http://carrieelks.com/blog/ and maybe you might find a new book to read from it.
